Order: Gobiiformes
Family: Gobiidae
Genus: Amblyeleotris
Species: Amblyeleotris guttata

The spotted shrimpgoby (Amblyeleotris guttata) is a pale goby covered in small orange-brown spots. It lives with alpheid snapping shrimps that share its burrow.

The shrimp digs and maintains the burrow while the goby keeps watch, warning its partner of danger with a flick of its tail.

In the Philippines it is found on sand and rubble patches near reefs, usually perched at its burrow entrance.
