The red-lined pygmygoby (Trimma striatum) is a tiny goby with fine red stripes along a pale body, often seen hovering head-up against reef walls. Its big eyes and delicate stripes make it a pretty macro subject.
It grows to only about 2-3 cm and lives in small groups near caves, overhangs and steep walls, picking plankton from the water.
The red-lined pygmygoby is found in the western Pacific, including the Philippines, where it lives on walls and in shaded areas of the reef.
