The orange-dashed goby (Valenciennea puellaris) is a sleeper goby with rows of orange dashes and spots along a pale body.
It sifts sand through its gills to pick out tiny invertebrates and lives in pairs in a burrow it digs under rocks.
In the Philippines it is found on sandy patches and slopes around reefs.
