Randall's shrimp goby (Amblyeleotris randalli) is an elegant goby with orange-red bands and a tall, sail-like dorsal fin marked with a black eye-spot. It often raises the fin when disturbed.

It grows to about 9-12 cm and shares a burrow with a blind or near-blind alpheid shrimp. The shrimp digs and maintains the burrow while the goby keeps watch, warning its partner with a flick of the tail when danger approaches.

Randall's shrimp goby is found in the western Pacific, including the Philippines, where it lives on sandy slopes, often a little deeper than other shrimp gobies.
