The decorated goby (Istigobius decoratus) is a pale sand goby with rows of dark and orange-brown spots along its body and fine dots on its head.
It grows to about 12 cm and rests on sand and rubble near reefs, moving in short dashes. It feeds on small invertebrates sifted from the sediment.
The decorated goby is found across the Indo-Pacific, including the Philippines, where it is a common sight on sandy patches between coral.
