Gittan Noren's Hairy Shrimp Collection
· By Scuba Journal
Hairy shrimp are largely unknown to most humans on this planet, but as tiny as they are, they are extremely fascinating. Not many shrimp species are this weird, and they are a favorite for many underwater photographers (although you'd better have a good macro camera to catch one).
As you will see, hairy shrimp are a unique crustacean, and they are also extremely hard to find, averaging at a mere 4mm in size.
If you can find one of these dudes hiding on a blade of grass in the ocean, you might just find that there are a pretty decent number of color variations. Gittan Noren shares some of her favorites with us here.
