The threespot dascyllus (Dascyllus trimaculatus), or domino damsel, is a black damselfish with white spots, one on the forehead and one on each side. The spots fade as the fish grows older.
It can reach around 11-14 cm. Juveniles often live alongside anemonefish in large sea anemones, while adults form groups over coral heads and rocks. They feed on plankton and algae.
The threespot dascyllus is widespread across the Indo-Pacific, including the Philippines, where it is commonly seen around anemones and coral bommies.
