Burrough's damselfish (Pomacentrus burroughi) is a plain brownish damsel with a pale tail and a dark spot at the base of its pectoral fin. Juveniles show a small dark eyespot on the dorsal fin.

It grows to about 8 cm and lives on coral reef slopes and in lagoons, usually close to the coral. It feeds on algae and plankton and is less flashy than many of its relatives.

Burrough's damselfish is found in the western Pacific, including the Philippines, where it is a common but easily overlooked reef resident.
