The spotted sharpnose puffer (Canthigaster solandri) is a small puffer with an orange-brown body covered in blue spots, blue lines around the eye and a pointed snout.

It grows to about 11 cm and feeds on algae, sponges and small invertebrates. Like other puffers it can inflate itself, and its skin and organs are toxic.

The spotted sharpnose puffer is found across the Indo-Pacific, including the Philippines, where it lives on coral reefs and lagoons. It is a relative of the blacksaddled toby.
