The blacksaddled toby (Canthigaster valentini) is a small pufferfish with four dark saddles across a white body dotted with orange-brown spots.
It feeds on algae and small invertebrates and is toxic. It is mimicked by the harmless mimic filefish.
In the Philippines it is common on reefs and rubble slopes.
