The snowflake moray (Echidna nebulosa) is a small moray with a white body patterned with dark, star-shaped blotches and yellow spots. Its yellow eyes and nostrils add to its distinctive look.

It grows to about 70 cm and has blunt, crushing teeth for feeding on crabs and other crustaceans. It often forages in very shallow water.

In the Philippines it is found on reef flats and rocky shallows, sometimes out in the open hunting.
