The spotted moray (Gymnothorax isingteena) is a large pale moray densely covered in dark brown spots. The spots become smaller and closer together towards the head.

It can reach around 1.5 m and hunts fish and crustaceans. It usually stays in its hole with only the head showing.

In the Philippines it is found on reefs and rocky areas, often on deeper slopes.
