Genus: Anyperodon
Species: Anyperodon leucogrammicus

The slender grouper (Anyperodon leucogrammicus) is a long, narrow grouper with orange spots and pale lines. Its compressed shape lets it slip between corals.

It grows to about 50-60 cm and hunts small fish. Juveniles are striped and are thought to mimic harmless wrasses to approach prey.

In the Philippines it is found on coral-rich reefs.
