Semper's ovulid (Prosimnia semperi) is a small ovulid with a pink to purple shell, living on gorgonian sea fans. It is named after naturalist Carl Semper, who worked in the Philippines.
Its shell is about 1-1.5 cm long. Its mantle matches the colour of its host gorgonian, on which it feeds.
In the Philippines it is found on sea fans on reef slopes and walls.
