The orange-spotted spinefoot (Siganus guttatus) is a rabbitfish with a silvery-blue body covered in golden-orange spots and a yellow spot at the rear of the dorsal fin.
It grows to about 40 cm and grazes on algae and seagrass, often in pairs or small groups. Its fin spines carry venom.
The orange-spotted spinefoot is found in the western Pacific, including the Philippines, where it lives in seagrass beds, mangroves and sheltered reefs.
