Eubranchus sp. 3

Eubranchus sp. 3 is an aeolid nudibranch in the family Eubranchidae that has not yet been formally described, so it is known only by this working name.

It has white to cream cerata, some with pale yellow tones, arranged in clusters along a slender body. Like other Eubranchus it is small and easy to miss.

It is found on hydroids, which is where members of the genus live and feed.

In the Philippines search hydroid colonies slowly with a good light. A dark background, or shooting against open water, helps the pale cerata stand out in photos.

It appears on page 226 of Nudibranchs of the Philippines.
