The two-spot bristletooth (Ctenochaetus binotatus) is a brown surgeonfish with fine blue lines on its body and a dark spot at the rear base of the dorsal and anal fins. Juveniles may have a yellow tail.
It grows to about 20 cm and feeds by brushing films of algae and detritus off hard surfaces with its comb-like teeth. Like other surgeonfish it has a sharp blade at the base of its tail.
The two-spot bristletooth is found across the Indo-Pacific, including the Philippines, where it lives on coral reefs and rubble slopes.
