The tomato anemonefish (Amphiprion frenatus) is a deep red-orange clownfish with a single white head bar, usually living in bubble-tip anemones. Adult females often darken to nearly black on the sides.

It grows to about 12-14 cm. A group lives in one anemone, led by a large female and her mate, with smaller non-breeding males waiting their turn. If the female dies, the dominant male changes sex to take her place. Eggs are laid on rock beside the anemone and guarded by the male.

The tomato anemonefish is found in the western Pacific, including the Philippines, where it is common in bubble-tip anemones on shallow reefs.
