Stylocheilus longicauda is a small sea hare in the family Aplysiidae. Sea hares are not nudibranchs; they belong to their own group, the Aplysiida.

It is green to yellow-green with small blue spots and scattered thin, spiky papillae over the body. As the name suggests, it has a long tapering tail.

It grazes on algae and can be found in large numbers when conditions suit it.

In the Philippines look for it on algae in shallow water. Its green colouring blends into the weed, so move slowly and look for the blue spots. Shoot from the side to show the tail and rhinophores.

It appears on page 305 of Nudibranchs of the Philippines.
