The Ambon scorpionfish (Pteroidichthys amboinensis) is a master of camouflage with skin flaps and tall eye tentacles that make it look like algae.
Reaching around 10-12 cm, it can change color and shed its skin, and it ambushes small fish and shrimp. Its spines are venomous.
It is a classic muck diving critter in the Philippines.
